Soft launch notes — what we shipped first

What went live on nothing.digital, what we deferred on purpose, and how we measure the first weeks.

August 6, 2026 · Alexander Schroyer, Founder

Nothing.Digital soft-launched on a boringly solid stack: Next.js on Vercel, forms into Supabase + Resend, cookieless analytics on Umami, and a Calendly path for scoping calls. This post is the public record of what shipped and what we deliberately left out.

What is live

  • Marketing site with services, pricing ballparks, contact form, and newsletter signup.
  • Admin ops for inbox, clients, billing, assets, and work — owner-only, not a client portal.
  • Monitoring via UptimeRobot and Sentry; Core Web Vitals through Vercel Speed Insights.

What we skipped on purpose

  • Fake portfolio case studies. Empty portfolio beats invented clients.
  • Chat widgets, exit-intent popups, and protocol gimmicks (nothing:// stays brand metaphor only).
  • n8n and Uptime Kuma until there is a real fan-out or uptime gap.

How we will judge the first weeks

  1. Contact form and Calendly bookings actually arrive.
  2. Newsletter list grows without spam complaints.
  3. Search Console starts indexing the sitemap.
  4. No surprise errors in Sentry on /api/contact or /api/newsletter.

If you want a site built the same way — fixed scope, senior hands, on time — book a free scoping call.
